Since their beginning Man of Moon have been a standout live act. The Glasgow-based duo of singer/guitarist Chris Bainbridge and new drummer Iain Stewart possess an extraordinary talent for cross-pollinating genres and styles but their sound is not hybridised, rather they are a synthesis of their influences; a pure sonic distillation of what has come before. As founding frontman, Bainbridge is honest about his vision for the band:

"I think as Man of Moon, we've always tried to emulate sides of artists that inspire us and that we love, but ultimately to create our own 'Man of Moon' sound; a blend of krautrock, alternative rock and electronic with a noticeable dark Scottish energy."

Following on from the release of the first single, the next track from MACHINISM is VIDEO which taps into the underlying themes of the album: doom-scrolling, technological reliance and servitude to our encroaching A.I overlords. All with nods to classic krautrock records.  Here’s  Chris on the track:

"Our new single ‘VIDEO’ explores the dark reality of the hypnotising hold the screens on our phones and other devices have on us. This song shows off the darker side to our new album ‘MACHINISM’ as we wanted the energy of the track to match the theme of the lyrics. As a band, we have always been incredibly inspired by krautrock bands such as Silver Apples and Can whilst also taking influence from the UK trip-hop scene of the 90s and we feel this track really shows that. On this new record we have explored further into the alternative and electronic side to our music and you hear this in ‘VIDEO’."
