Lunar Key release ‘LIFE IS A DIRTY WAR’ - out Friday 24th of March 2023
For each of their last 5 releases, The Lunar Keys put their little money where their big mouths are - in support of good causes: ‘Silent Ricochet’ aided the arrival of 800 trees and counting (courtesy of Trees for the Future), whilst ‘Stop This’, ‘Oxygen Type’, ‘Once’ and ‘Maniac’ raised money for the charities Nordoff Robbins, Oxygen, TheTrussellTrust and the nurses at The Royal Surrey hospital respectively.
The Lunar Keys’ new single LIFE IS A DIRTY WAR will expand on this tradition of gratitude – but this time even closer to home: To celebrate its release, The Lunar Keys pledge to play a free show as thank you to all of their key supporters at a college location in their hometown..
LIFE IS A DIRTY WAR is out on Friday, the 24th of March 2023.
Recorded by Billy Foster at Snap Studios and mastered by John Davis (The Killers, U2, Royal Blood) at Metropolis, the song is a play on the expression ‘All is fair in Love & War’ and deals with being in a bad relationship whilst facing life’s daily struggles but not surrendering, likening the experience to being in a war.

The band are chuffed that LIFE IS A DIRTY WAR has already been aired on BBC Introducing.
Previous Lunar Keys releases have enjoyed dozens of reviews, more than 400,000 views and streams and over 3500 plays from more than 400 radio stations including BBC Wales, Planet Rock, Amazing Radio and BBC Introducing, where 4 The Lunar Keys singles enjoyed Track of the Week.
