Love Ghost collaborates with Afrobeat Star Camidoh & DJ Switch on new song ‘Dopeman’

Love Ghost arrives on the scene with a sturdy repertoire of accolades— Rolling Stone Magazine, FLAUNT, AlternaAve Press, Lyrical Lemonade, Earmilk and many others have sung their praise. Inspired by collaborators like Rico Nasty and Adan Cruz, this year brings new releases and new sounds for their fans including “Dopeman” with BET InternaAonal Entertainer of the Year nominee, Ghanaian Afrobeat arAst Camidoh and DJ Switch Ghana, Global Prodigy Award Winner.

The song combines the Afrobeat sensibiliAes of Camidoh’s chart-topping “Sugarcane”, the dark alternaAve rock feel from Love Ghost, and charged by DJ Switch’s freestyles. The song brings a new Tik Tok dance challenge, backed by PR campaigns across Nigeria and the UK, and an official music video featuring all 3 arAsts.

Love Ghost has played the Rockpalast fes,val, broadcast throughout Germany on German television. In Mexico City they have played shows at Auditorio BB, Indie Foro Rocks and Amazon’s Gamergy Fes,val, which was broadcast to all of La,n America. They have several other songs coming this year including an en,re album with Marilyn Manson guitar player and producer Tim Skold, commissioned by Metropolis Records.

Camidoh is a Ghanaian Afropop, R&B and Afrobeats songwriter and musician. He was nominated in the 2023 BET Awards as the International Entertainer of the Year. He rose to prominence with his single Sugarcane. The song was number 5 on Shazam's top 200 most searched Afropop songs. On 8 April 2022, he released a remix of the song featuring King Promise, Nigerian artiste Mayorkun and British rapper Darkoo. In the first week of May, barely a month after its release, the collaboration peaked at Number 1 on Nigeria's Top 100 Music Chart on Apple Music.

DJ Switch Ghana- In June 2018, Erica became the youngest person to win Ghana's annual DJ award. In 2019 Roc Nation, Jay-Z's entertainment company, acknowledged her skills and featured her on their social media for Black History Month and in 2020 she was listed among Top 100 child prodigies from all around the world. In 2018, she opened the Bill and Melinda Gates' Foundation's annual Goalkeepers event in New York City, as the warm up act to French President Emmanuel Macron In June 2019, she performed at the World Bank Africa Society Symposium at the World Bank office in Washington. She performed at the 32nd Ordinary Session of the AU Assembly of Heads of State and Government.
