London producer Jack Beech Returns With Atmospheric New Offering 'Watching the Sky'

Music Producer and Composer Jack Beech is known for detailed atmospheric music, and his work on intense electronic orchestral scores, notably writing additional music for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3,  Apple+’s "Liaison" and earlier work such as Till Death.

Based at Tileyard Studios, London; writing across a wide variety of styles and medias, Jack gives priority to bespoke sounds in his music, curated either via analogue hardware and music production techniques, or with specialist musicians to develop organic sound worlds that bring a heightened emotion to the music.

This was first seen on his debut release as a composer making his debut as an artist in 2021 with his Noctilucent EP. And while it might well have been a few years since his last release, there’s new material in the pipeline, the first taste of which comes in the form of the ‘Watching the Sky’ featuring Anna Phoebe

Described by Beech as being “inspired by James Turrell installations, this piece is formed from simplicity and minimalism; the listener should feel a sense of reflection, and weightlessness as though they are adrift on the highest cloud layer.”

It’s this sense of space and spaciousness that populates much of his work, creating something that at once feels simple, yet paradoxically complex. And with the song now picked up by BBC6 Music's Mary Ann Hobbs, you can expect to hear much more from Jack in the coming months in the form of his second body of work, the fittingly named Skyspace.
