LIVE REVIEW & GALLERY - LELE @ Anime & Gaming Con, LRC UEA, Norwich

I hadn't planned to really write a review of the Norwich Anime and Gaming Con, I wanted to focus on the galleries but upon realising there was a musician performing I knew I had to do a separate feature!

LELE is a 25 year old, Japanese inspired singer from Australia now residing in Lincoln.

Billed as Japanese Pop and Electonica she is like a burst of pastel clad fresh air! Although not my typical guitar driven style I enjoyed every second of her set. Her adorable, sweet personality and cutesy stage presence ensured her set was as much fun to watch as her songs were to listen to and her infectious smile lit up the stage. It was a performance not simply a singer with a microphone.

Her musical style was like J-pop meets Euro Pop meets Clubland. It's the ultimate in feel good, happy music that leaves you with a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

Japan obsessed LELE, who has performed all over the world, sings partly in English and partly in Japanese which added extra depth and interest to the set. It was a good mix of slower, more thoughtful numbers and cutesy upbeat poppy offerings. Her voice is adorable and perfectly matches her overall sound and imagery.

Amy

I'm Amy a Norfolk girl, currently residing at the seaside.

Age: eternally 21 (Iā€™m really Peter Pan!).

By day I'm a Leaks, Condensation, Damp and Mould Resident Liaison Officer and by night I'm CRB's admin bitch, reviewer extraordinaire, point and hope for the best photographer, paperclip monitor and expert at breaking anything technical then expecting Scott to fix it!

I'm into all kinds of music the more obscure the better (my music taste is definitely better than yours šŸ¤ŖšŸ˜œ) with my fave band being The Wonder Years.

I'm an Ipswich Town fan and have an unhealthy obsession with hedgehogs!
