Kirstie Kraus and Christie Huff Release ‘Dab a Dolly’ Duet
Country music is officially cool again, and the fastest growing genre across the EU and a dominant force in America and continuing to push the genre further are US artists Kirstie Kraus and Christie Huff who have joined forces on their brilliant new single ‘Dab a Dolly’.
The feel-good female empowerment anthem takes its playful inspiration from the old Daisy sour cream commercial and the saying 'dollop of Daisy', but they’ve cleverly flipped that and have exclaimed through the lyrics that "a little dab a dolly is good for everyone!”
There’s always a bit of magic that happens when two female artists come together on a release and ‘Dab a Dolly’ is no different. Kirstie Kraus and Christie Huff are both strong, independent women and together they are a force to be reckoned with and they’ve created a striking collaboration that has all the potential to make a splash on Country Radio.
Speaking about the release, Kirstie Kraus says:
"We wrote it when we were on our first tour run together. I kept saying there's a little dab a dolly for ya after I would cover a Dolly Parton song and Christie turned to me and said let's just write that on Monday”.
Christie Huff adds:
“I am so excited to be part of an uplifting female anthem inspired by the Queen of country, Dolly Parton! Kirstie and I connected because we want to support each other and are both working hard as independent artists to make things happen for ourselves. This experience has really emphasized the importance of female friendships and girls supporting each other. It feels like a movement for women in music! A little dab a Dolly is good for everyone.”
‘Dab a Dolly’ is that one song that will be playing full-blast on the speakers as we head into the summer season. The two singer/songwriters have crafted something truly memorable and viral worthy. The release is coming in hot, and is expected to push the two women to the forefront of country music. An official music video will follow the single soon, adding more emphasis to the campaign.
