Kicked In The Teeth’s new track ‘Werewolves’ is about keeping a healthy distance from the modern day hype machine
It appears on the mid-Cheshire punks’ forthcoming album ‘Watling Street Chambers’

Mid Cheshire punks Kicked In The Teeth are now less than a month out from the release of their full-throttle new album ‘Watling Street Chambers’, which will be released by Rare Vitamin Records on 9th May. They’ve today released a further preview of what’s on the horizon with new track ‘Werewolves’, which comes with a music video to boot.
Vocalist Jay Concannon explains the band’s approach with the cut: “It's easy to lose faith in people. We try and be hopeful, but in today's society, it sometimes feels like everyone is just out for themselves. Ignorance is on the rise and respect appears to be fading away. Werewolves is a song about keeping a distance from the modern hype machine and believing in what's important - yourself.”
‘Werewolves’ follows on from the previously released ‘There Will Be Nothing’ and ‘Savour The Victory’, which exploded out the gates with a G’N’R-inspired music video. These compositions extol the virtues of living in the moment and making the most of what little time we have on this earth. The threads of positivity run all the way through ‘Watling Street Chambers’, which is an in-your-face reaction to modern life and all its pitfalls.
Much like their split cassette with New Hampshire punk rock outfit The Queers, KITT’s new album will have you in a six-string choke hold. Recorded at Pressure Drop Studios in Stockport and mixed and mastered by guitarist and vocalist Joe, its title track is about being in a band with your mates, getting the chance to play some amazing cities, travel to some cool places, make new friends, drink and just generally have a great time. This is just the tip of the iceberg of the positivity that radiates from the album’s metaphorical pores.
With members previously playing in Incisions and The Business, KITT masterfully carve out melodic pop sensibilities with a relentless hardcore energy from the salt mines of Northwich. KITT are influenced by Bad Religion, Descendents, and Black Flag while staying tonally British and brutally northern, their UK82 / D-beat grip has secured sets alongside Snuff, UK Subs, GBH, Cockney Rejects and The Exploited, plus modern heavy hitters The Drowns and Wonk Unit, to name a few.
The band will showcase ‘Watling Street Chambers’ at grassroots music venue The Salty Dog, Northwich, for a special matinee album launch, before playing the Rebellion Festival and more this summer.
