NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Indie classic Americana Rock band, Karson City Rebels (KCR) celebrates the release of the new single, "Time Done Gone."* The third single in the band's 2024 Waterfall Series, positioned as an early introduction to the group's EP (titled DRIVIN' due Oct. 4, 2024), is AVAILABLE NOW via all major digital retail and streaming platforms (Amazon/Apple/iTunes/Pandora/Spotify/Tidal).
Written and produced by band frontman Gil Karson, "Time Done Gone," encapsulates the march of a musician's life in a quickened "Turn The Page" timelapse. The storyline is reflective of a youthful dream with time before you, time fleeting, time wasted, and not enough time. Simplistic stripped-down lead vocals (Gil Karson) lay atop boogie blues rock instrumentation (featuring performances by band members Chris Brooks and Kyle Appleton) complemented by slide guitar highlights that create a ZZ Top groove akin to "La Grange.”
“Time is the great deceiver,” said KCR lead singer, songwriter and producer, Gil Karson. "I wrote 'Time Done Gone' while attending the 37th Annual Frank Brown International Song Writing Festival. It was my first time attending and I realized that in all the years the event had been held, that I had missed out on an amazing musical experience. That led me to think about my dream, my life, my journey, and all the years gone by. There was so much creative energy at the festival; the lyrics flowed out of me right there amidst the atmosphere."
The "Time Done Gone" release follows the momentum of the band's debut single "Runaway Train" (May 2024) and sophomore release titled "Let's Party" (June 28) and is in keeping with KCR's style to wrap simplistic storylines with hard-hitting rock instrumentation that appeals to audiences with a hunger for vintage rock and roll.

Led by Gil Karson (lead singer), Karson formed the group following a sabbatical to focus on raising his family and embarking on a successful career in film direction and production. The formal formation of KCR was his “answer to the call” to return to his first love–music and live performance.
Made up of multi-instrumentalist Jon Adams, guitarists Kyle Appleton and Chris Brooks, Brian Burwell (on drums), and Jon Greathouse (on keyboards and vocals), the newly organized six-member triple threat group has worked alongside Grammy-winning producer Gerhard Joost (Stevie Wonder, Missy Elliot, Sangeeta) at Studio Hill Austin and recorded at Sal Rodriguez’s Studio in LA.
