Karen Harding's "Judge You": A Musical Mirror Reflecting Personal Liberation
MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA - On 8th March 2024, Melbourne based singer/songwriter Karen Harding will unveil her brand-new single, "Judge You", the second single release from her upcoming album, “Behind The Mask”. This emotionally powerful ballad explores our inner workings - specifically how self-judgment affects us as individuals, while at the same time revealing our protective mechanisms at play behind such internal dialogues.
Through her path of introspection during counselling sessions, "Judge You" grew to existence. Lyrically, it delves into the paradoxical nature of self-judgment—that it serves as a useful defence against external criticism while also needing the release of negative internal narratives that hinder individual growth.
The instrumental for the song, which features Karen Harding's blend ethereal tones with powerful pop stylings, was produced by Daniel Nieberg. The evocative atmosphere that Daniel Nieberg's production creates to go along with Harding's deeply raw and introspective lyrics, enhances the song's strength of emotion.
Karen Harding entered Melbourne, Australia's vibrant music scene when she released her debut single "I Didn't Realise," released May 2021. Since then she has explored uncharted sonic waters by teaming up with artists and producers internationally.
Notable awards earned by Karen in recent years include winning the 2021 Bendigo Bank-sponsored Radio Eastern Songwriter Talent Show; being nominated as a Top Ten Winner at World Songwriting Awards in September 2021 and Best International Artist at Crags Radio Independent Artist Awards held February 2022.
Karen Harding uses music as a form of self-exploration and therapeutic expression through song. On "Judge You," Karen draws listeners into an inward reflection while weaving a tapestry of human experiences through her trademark voice and innovative approach to songwriting.
"Judge You" will be available across major streaming platforms starting Friday 8th March 2024.
