Jacky Jack White shares single ‘Henry’s Got His Hat On’

“Henry’s Got His Hat On” is the latest release from prolific multi-genre hit singer/songwriter Jacky Jack White. The song is a whimsical tribute to his son Henry, who is now making his own mark as an alternative rocker with his band, Memory Card.

Jack usually records in Nashville at Bob Angello’s Studio. This track was recorded at Don Mosley’s Sound of Birmingham Studio in Birmingham, Alabama. Don assembled some of the best regional session players. This is the authentic groove, and feel Jack, and Don both wanted.

Jacky Jack White is an award winning singer/songwriter and host of the Sucarnochee Revue. The Revue records live out of the Temple Theater in Meridian, Mississippi. Jacky Jack White has had songs on the charts as a singer/songwriter since 1985. Some of the artists who have recorded his songs are: Ray Stevens, Charley Pride, Buddy Jewell, Terrill, Steve Wariner, Neal McCoy J. D. Fortune of INXS, and Mark Lowery. His most successful country song is the huge international hit, “Exchange of Hearts” co-penned with David Slater. Jack received an ASCAP Award for “If I Didn’t Love You”, and a NSAI Award for the #1 Southern Gospel song, “When Men Pray.” Plus, an NSAI #1 Award for Charley Pride’s recording of “For Today” a number one on the Gavin Independent Charts in England. He is an Alabama State Council on the Arts Fellowship in Music recipient. The Revue received Citations of Excellence from the Country Music Association and the National Geographic Tourism Board. Jacky Jack co-penned the # 1 Christian Country hit “I Stand With This Country” with Carl Ray, and co-wrote the #6 Christian Country hit “At the Waterfall” with Nancy Harvell for Anna Grace Tamburello. Anna received Horizon Christian Country Artist of the Year. Jack, also, has enjoyed Christian Country chart hits on his own with “Justified,” “I’ll Speak For You,” and #2 hit “White Picket Fence.” Carl Ray, and Jacky Jack co-wrote, “You’ve Just Gotta Live With It” with John Byron. Plus, “Waiting On a Yes” with Adam Box.

I like the honest, fun vibe of ‘Henry’s Got His Hat On’. There is an air of playfulness like it’s not taking itself too seriously. The vocal harmonies are great, and I like the flamboyant keys and pretty violins. The vocals are wonderfully charming with a rich Americana country tone. The kind of track that makes you want to slap your thigh and say yee-haw!
