November 2024 Irish Tour Dates On Sale Now

Dublin post-funk quartet SCUSTIN are pleased to reveal their new single ‘Charmer’, which is set for release on 5th November 2024.

The band recently announced a run of November 2024 Irish headline tour dates, with tickets on sale now (see below for listings).

Recorded and produced by Richie Kennedy (EOB, Interpol, Shame, and The Murder Capital) at Black Mountain Studios, with new single ‘Charmer’ the band dive headfirst into their funk and disco roots, giving an artistic nod to the likes of Luther Vandross, Republic of Loose, Michael Jackson, and early Daft Punk. Perhaps the cherry on top is the undeniable backing vocal performance of Sadhbh O’Brien, a longtime friend of the band, who brings a sense of grandeur to the track.

Combining all of this with their unique brand of storytelling and Irish wit, Scustin have delivered a song that would feel right at home on Grand Theft Auto Vice City’s Fever 105 radio station—ultimately leaving the listener dancing, toe-tapping, and craving more.

Commenting on the track, the band say: “The new single is an analysis of the deluded—a love song rooted in fiction, a love letter to the Celtic Tiger—Ireland’s boom era. ‘Charmer’ narrates the tale of a pub regular who attempts to hide their insecurities and bolster their ego by fabricating a fable about a romantic encounter with a pop star in the ‘90s on a flight home from New York to Dublin. Set during the dawn of the Celtic Tiger, our anti-hero reminisces about a time defined by decadence and excess as he tries to remember an echo of love in the dregs of his pint glass.”

More than just a band, Scustin blurs the lines between crowd and artist. When you step into a Scustin show, you don’t just watch the band—you become part of it. Scustin is a state of mind, a shared love for all things craic. To be "Scustin" is to belong to a group united by this love, where every show is a celebration of connection, culture, and pure, unfiltered fun.

With scintillating performances across Ireland, the UK, and the Netherlands, as well as standout festival appearances at Electric Picnic, Latitude, and Other Voices, Scustin have earned a reputation for high-energy, interactive live shows. Their performances are an electrifying mix—imagine a panto on crack or a Guinness-stained, musical orgy featuring Blindboy, Mike Skinner, and Jamiroquai at The Harbour Bar in Bray.

Through their beloved pastime of "Pub Talkin’", Scustin invite the audience to join them at the table, pint in hand, for a night of storytelling, shenanigans and ‘the craic’ that might echo the vibe of your most revered pub. Scustin leave audiences with no choice but to dance, sing along, and become part of the community they create at every show.

Further new music and live dates TBA over the coming months.
