Introducing Loud George who share singles ‘Lightning’ and ‘Lobotomy’

Bio:

Loud George was born in Crewe just over 10 years ago during our time at university. We resurrected Georgeduring covid and have come back with bang in our hometowns of Manchester, Leeds, and Cheltenham.

There is no other band like this band. We are basically strangers. We are musical nomads that emerge unto each other only when there is noise to be made. If you're lucky enough to catch us at one of our small shows this year, you can expect to see an energetic, tight performance most likely fuelled by alcohol excess.

Our most notable influences are Nirvana, Biffy Clyro, and Queens Of The Stone Age.

Loud George - Lightning

This song was written back in university when we realised we'd all had a relationship with the same girl.

Despite its sexual lyrical content, this song made it onto a British Heart Foundation playlist full of songs that are the perfect speed for chest compressions.

Loud George save lives.

I like the track energy and how it utilises a lot of genres to create a unique sound. I like how chaotic it is while still producing a well rounded sound.

Loud George - Lobotomy

Another song from our uni days, this song slaps so hard, we had to do a small run of vinyl just for this and b-side 'Cash For Action'.

Alain at Vinyl Night Radio couldn't get enough, has span it several times, and has even invited himself a few times to our practices when we're all in one place in order to broadcast Loud George playing live on the air.

The Future is George

In June this year the band released a re-mixed album of the 9 old songs we re-wrote and recorded after lockdown. We do everything DIY, the writing, the recording, the CD pressing, and currently the PR.

They have already began work on their next two EP's which are all new material. The next batch will be recorded live in Leeds at the end of June 2023. For these releases, the band will be paying for radio plugging, listing the tracks with US billboard and UK charts. Basically, just having a bit more of a release plan in general.

You can see all their upcoming shows on instagram, there's also some snippets from past shows they’ve played too. Last year in October, they did a lovely drunken group interview with Chris Redjam of Aspen Waite Radio. They went into all our origins, influences and what they had coming up. But if you click here it will take you to a supercut on YouTube of all the best bits!
