IN SHALLOWS PERFECTLY BALANCE MELODY AND DESTRUCTION ON FIERY NEW SINGLE “VENOM”

New Hampshire heavy music up-and-comers In Shallows have self-released their fiery new single “Venom” across streaming platforms.

Quite frankly, “Venom” is a genre defining track in the modern metalcore scene. With its haunting atmosphere, soaring chorus, and crushing emotional climax of a breakdown, In Shallows have perfectly balanced melody and destruction throughout its entirety. Wearing their influences on their sleeve, it’s easy to pick out hints of Motionless In White in the vocal delivery, as well as the instrumental prowess of bands like Currents. Not only does “Venom” scratch the head-bangers itch, but it also retains an aspect of catchy accessibility for those new to the genre.

When discussing the release, In Shallows had this to say, “Our standards have changed while creating new music to reflect our diversity and this is just the beginning. Brace yourself.” While keeping their foundational sound established on previous singles “Phantom Grace” and “Buried By Mistake”, it’s clear they’re intentionally breaking their own mold to become a force to be reckoned with. As the band said, brace yourself, because there’s plenty more on the horizon for this talented young band.

WHAT ARE PEOPLE SAYING

“In Shallows does a great job of opening the instrumental window to their sound and keeping the listener engaged and feeling connected.”

ABOUT IN SHALLOWS

In Shallows is a four peice metalcore outfit based in Keene, NH. With the release of their first single “Phantom Grace” in June of 2021, the band confidently planted themselves in the heavy music scene. They quickly followed it up in October with “Beneath The Surface”, a 5-track EP that delivers in-your-face breakdowns, heavy guitar riffs, and drumming that hits you directly in the chest. Paired with the ever so sweet mixture of scream and singing vocals, In Shallows was determined to drive their lyrics down their fans throats.

Following the success of their EP, the band was eager to push the limits a little further. They teamed back up with their producer/recording engineer Robbie Litchfield at Hell Here Studios where they recorded and released a cover of Post Malone’s “Hollywood’s Bleeding”, which caught the attention of many new listeners. After playing along side acts as Saving Vice, ENOX, and If Not For Me throughout 2022 and with new music on the horizon, it’s safe to say In Shallows isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
