HOSTILE ARRAY HAVE RELEASED THEIR EMOTIONALLY CATHARTIC TRAUMA EP

Maryland post-hardcore outfit Hostile Array have released their emotionally cathartic 5-track EP Trauma, an incredibly relatable collection of songs dedicated to the various mental health struggles each member of the band has dealt with.

Trauma is a genre-bending release, fusing early 2000’s post-hardcore with modern pop-centric rock. Between the driving instrumentation on a track like “Wounds” and the anthemic, soaring chorus on “Heavy”, listeners will be simultaneously banging their heads and screaming at the top of their lungs all summer long.

This EP is a collection of singles that we felt belonged together in context, says vocalist Brendan Frey. Each song was written as a way to process the trauma and associated mental health struggles several of us have shared over the years. Working on these songs was not only lyrically therapeutic, but creatively as well. We really tried to challenge ourselves to experiment with our sound and not worry about holding ourselves to any specific genre expectations.

Produced and engineered by The Ghost Inside’s Chris Davis, it’s no surprise the sheer quality of sound throughout Trauma rivals even the best releases of the genre. Hostile Array have undoubtedly released a milestone project within their growing discography, hooking in fans for what is sure to be a long and successful career in the heavy music scene.
