Hike The Peak share new EP ‘Fly’ - out now!

Its that time again!

The fourth release in phase two of Hike The Peak ep’s (featuring different singers from some of the best bands the punk/skatepunk in the world) continues with two brand new artists both from a brand new country to add to the Hike The Peak family. Spain gets the focus this time with two of the best and legendary bands the country has produced in the modern skate punk scene.

TOXIFY - Feat. ACID SNOT

Acid Snot is a four-piece Tech Melodic Punk band from Barcelona City, Catalunya. After releasing an EP (2013), an LP (2016) and several tours around Spain, UK and Europe including shows such as Punk Rock Holiday, KNRD Fest, El Topo Goes Loco or Shredfest, sharing bill with bands such as Propagandhi, Darko, Get Dead, Anti Flag, The Human Project, Trash Boat, Antillectual, The Offspring or Pennywise, they did a 5-year hiatus as all their members went to live abroad for quite some time. In April 2022 they played a reunion show opening for A Wilhelm Scream in Barcelona and new music has started to be released in early 2023

Their music is a blend between new-wave tech melodic punk, djent and pop punk, bringing together elements from early 00s alternative metal, emo, stoner and even hip hop/drill into the genre as well. If you are into Counterparts, A Wilhelm Scream, Strung Out, This is a Standoff, Set Your Goals, Jet Market, Belmont, Fair Do’s or Propagandhi, you might want to check them out.

RESILIENCE - Feat. Alberto Peris (KILL THE PRESIDENT) and Loic Cormery (DOUBLE NEGATIVE)

I met Alberto when my old band played a few shows with Valencia based Kill The President on their UK tour a few years back and we’ve stayed in touch. Alberto’s politically charged gruff delivery was something I always wanted to have for Hike The Peak and after 18 months of asking KTP made time after their line up changes and last release ‘AFTERMATH’ was all ironed out. Resilience is Alberto at his finest. Deep assertive lyrics with a political tinge wrapped around a catchy chorus line. Something were always looking for at Hike The Peak a good fuckin’ hook!

Not only that French bass master Loic Cormery from bands such as DOUBLE NEGATIVE and THE IDIOT SENT ME lent his signature finger based bass stylings to the song. We are not worthy.
