Newcastle Upon Tyne Alternative Post-Hardcore band headcage have today shared their new single ‘under my skin’. The band’s most raw and transparent song to date ‘under my skin’ is the closing and title track from their new EP. Stream ‘under my skin’ right HERE or watch the official music video below.
headcage vocalist, Leyum Pattinson shares “We couldn’t be more proud to have this song as the title track to our debut EP. Being able to pull off this song, in the way that we did, is something we’ll always be happy about, despite it being an incredibly sad song. The song talks about living with the feeling of being overwhelmed, yet feeling completely empty at the same time.”

headcage have also announced another date to their run of intimate live shows to celebrate the release of their upcoming EP at London’s iconic ‘Blondies’. The band will also be performing in Glasgow, Manchester and Newcastle showcasing new tracks from the record. Full details below:

The Post-Hardcore 4-piece have garnered strong attention from Radio 1’s Nels Hylton with all of their six released singles being featured on his Future Alternative show, three of them were featured as ‘Future Flavour’ and they were included in his top tracks of 2022 rundown. ‘headcage’ has also been broadcast by Alyx Holcombe on her BBC Radio 1 Introducing Rock Show, with their most recent singles gaining exclusive premieres on her show. ‘headcage’ firmly cement themselves as ones to watch in both their regional and national Rock circuits, by being included in BBC Introducing’s Top Tips for 2023. Moving forward into 2023, the band have proven their sharp momentum is making waves within the UK Rock circuit, selling out their first two headline shows in advance and doubling the size of the venue within a year. The band also played Make a Scene festival in Middlesbrough alongside Trash Boat, Dream State & Heriot.
