Half Moon Panic Releases Highly Anticipated Second Album, "Second Time Around"

"Half Moon Panic are genuine, and motivated by what they are creating and sharing with the world" says Riff Photos by Chris Griffiths

"From the moment Gerard Jacques, the band's lead vocalist and bassist, stepped onto the stage, the audience's attention was captured. His soulful voice resonated throughout the venue, setting the tone for an evening of Rock and feeling. Backed by the extraordinary guitar skills of Taj Mian, who also contributed vocals, and the rhythmic precision of drummer James Dixon, HMP delivered a set that was equal parts energetic and emotionally charged" says Wrinkly Rockers Club.

Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, UK - Half Moon Panic, the sensational blues rock power trio, is thrilled to announce the release of their second album, "Second Time Around." Packed with original melodic modern blues rock songs, this album is set to captivate audiences with its raw energy and soulful sound. Recorded, mixed, and mastered by the talented Paul Annis at the renowned Pit Studios in Staplehurst, "Second Time Around" promises to be an unforgettable musical journey.

With the exception of the tracks "Hold On Tight" and "Rollin’ On," which were recorded and mixed at the iconic Abbey Road Studios in the legendary Studio 3 by Chris Bolster and mastered by Paul Annis at The Pit, the entire album showcases the band's exceptional talent and dedication to their craft. Half Moon Panic's commitment to delivering a top-notch listening experience shines through in every note.

The story of Half Moon Panic began in April 2019 when they were invited to perform at the Half Moon Pub in Hildenborough for Taj's birthday celebration. What started as a one-off show quickly turned into something more significant when they were asked to play with the Paul Cook Blues Band at their summer festival. Fueled by their passion for music, Half Moon Panic agreed, and thus, a band was born.

Throughout the challenging year of 2020, Gerard and Taj signed with UBAS Records and released their debut album, "Welcome to the Small Time." Despite the limitations imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the album received widespread critical acclaim, solidifying Half Moon Panic's position as a rising force in the music industry.

As lockdown restrictions eased, James Dixon joined the band on drums, completing their Blues Rock Power Trio lineup. Since then, Half Moon Panic has been on an unstoppable journey, gracing the stages of renowned festivals across the UK, including the Leeds Blues Festival and the Ealing Blues Festival. They have also had the privilege of supporting legendary musicians such as Laurence Jones, Dr. Feelgood, Ben Poole, Chantel McGregor, and Wendy James (Transvision Vamp), as well as American blues band Misty Blues. Their performances at iconic venues like The 100 Club London and the world-famous Cavern Club Liverpool have garnered rave reviews from the media.

Now, Half Moon Panic is ready to take their musical prowess to new heights with the release of "Second Time Around." This highly anticipated album, released in November 2023, showcases the band's growth and maturity, offering a collection of songs that will resonate with fans old and new. In addition, their mini-EP "Songs from the Pit" continues to receive overwhelming support on social media and digital music channels, further solidifying their place in the hearts of music enthusiasts worldwide.
