Grin Cynic Release Self-Titled Album - out now!
Grin Cynic. A band that never says die and was put here to deliver good, honest rock music to the masses.
Singer/songwriter/guitarist, Mike Lee, founded the band in the late 1990s and went on to record their debut album, titled Demonstration. Grin Cynic made some noise in their hometown of Orlando. They toured and had a televised performance at New York City’s famous CBGB’s. However, the band eventually went their separate ways.
In recent times, Mike felt the urge to re-form the band. He reached out to Grin Cynic’s original singer, Marc, who had suffered from a stroke. Unfortunately, Marc passed away shortly after, but Mike was gifted with Marc’s book of poems and lyrics, which then inspired Mike to begin recruiting new band mates to head back into the recording studio.
It is almost as if the universe was giving this project a second chance at life. The new lineup not only has a lot of similarities to the original members, but also shares in the same strong sense of creativity and ball busting camaraderie.
Now, Grin Cynic returns with their self-titled album.
