Gore. release 'A Bud That Never Blooms' EP via Spinefarm
Gore. — vocalist Haley Roughton, guitarist Alex Reyes, and bassist Devin Birchfield — have released their ‘A Bud That Never Blooms’ EP via Spinefarm.
The EP was produced by Miserable Productions, with Ben McGuiness and Caleb Freihaut serving as co-producers, and mixed by Cody Stewart. Gore. were recently tipped as a "Band You Need To Know" by Revolver, with singles from the EP appearing in the Kerrang! Chart and Metal Hammer’s best new tracks round-ups, as well as airing on the BBC Radio 1 Rock Show.
Gore. have also premiered the music video for new single ‘Heaven Is Above Me’. It’s a song that deftly demonstrates the band's mastery of dynamics.
"This was the first Gore. song ever written," says Roughton. "It is about a tumultuous, agonizing parent-child relationship. A relationship in which a parent will declare his love of his children to everyone in the world, except for the children he speaks of. Where parents are screaming at 5am, and the whole house feels like it's on fire. This song is the final song of ABTNB. It shows the destruction of a child's resilience, aided by the other interpersonal stories told in ABTNB. Every single song further transforms a child from innocence to cynicism and resentment."
