George Gianluca shares single ‘Catastrophe’
Artist Bio
George Gianluca is a 26-year-old singer-songwriter and producer from Eastbourne whose love of music started young: busking aged 8 dressed as Billy Joe Armstrong on his front lawn (a smile from a passerby was enough encouragement!). A self-taught guitarist, he formed a band in his teens and went on to study at BIMM, but after a year became so obsessed with learning how to produce from YouTube videos that he locked himself away for the next 4 years. During this time, he honed his writing skills and got into the studios with producers Jake Gosling, Freedo, and Duck Blackwell and quickly began working with them on music initially for Liv Dawson. Within two years of writing, he had amassed over 30 million streams on Spotify. Post-pandemic (with the exception of Cian Ducrot, whom he has worked closely with since 2019) he decided it was time to step back from writing for others and pursue an artistic career. His new single, ‘Catastrophe’, marks the beginning of a body of work created in his studio in Soho focused on his love of self-produced, electric guitar-led, indie pop-rock music.
