SCOTTISH & EU TOUR ON SALE NOW

Hot off the heels of their explosive debut album’s release, ‘WE DON’T LIKE THE PEOPLE WE’VE BECOME,’ Scottish indie-punks GALLUS share their new single, ‘WASH YOUR WOUNDS’, out now on MARSHALL RECORDS.  Scottish and EU tour dates are on sale now. A complete list of dates can be found below.

Fuelled and influenced by a shared determination to dig deep and rise above during challenging times and encapsulated by frontman Barry Dolan's distinctive dark sense of humour. Produced by the band and Blair Crichton of Dead Pony and featuring Tina Sandwich, ‘WASH YOUR WOUNDS’ emerges as another alternative, angular masterpiece from the Scots.

Speaking on the new single, vocalist Barry Dolan shares:

“The song was inspired by an actual wound on my foot, which required washing every day, so I started saying ‘wash-yer-wound’ a lotWhen I came up with the chorus, it fit in nicely.

“Obviously, the song isn't literally about washing an infected toe.” Jests Dolan “It’s a phrase that more broadly came to mean being stoic in the face of never-ending crises. No matter what, you must wash your wounds and face them head-on.

GALLUS bottles that sense of anticipation, the idea that anything could happen. Throwing back to the days when responsibilities were few, anticipation was high, and opportunity was around every corner. The band combine the energetic bounce of Sports Team with the tongue-in-cheek running commentary of life in 2022 of Yard Act and the introspection of contemporaries Fontaines D.C.

After forming in a pub of the same name, the Glasgow Indie-punks have made their way to the summit of Scotland's underground music scene.

The band formed under unorthodox circumstances; after failed attempts to get their previous musical project off the ground, cousins Paul and Eamon Ewins recruited school friend Barry Dolan as their frontman after seeing him in a college play, despite little to no musical background. It was his dynamism and energy that drew them to him, and it was these characteristics that the band grew famous for.

The band's reputation for electric and, at times, chaotic live shows grew quickly, and they soon took to filling rooms up and down the UK, Europe and beyond. Having supported the likes of Biffy Clyro and played to thousands at festivals and showcases, including SXSW, Primavera Sound, Iceland Airwaves, The Great Escape and ESNS, seeing Gallus' reputation on the international stage is starting to grow in notoriety. This was reflected in the band being crowned Best Rock/Alternative Category at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards in 2022.

Be sure to catch the band live on tour. A full list of dates can be found below. Gallus’ new album, ‘We Don’t Like the People We’ve Become’, is now on Marshall Records.
