The Fury Weekendproject was created when Belarus-based Ars Nikonov chose to combine his love of classic rock, electronic music, and ‘80s culture into a forward-thinking music venture. The result is a dystopian synthwave sound that blends bright synth melodies and gritty guitar work into a singular music vision of the future.
The uniqueness of Fury Weekendshould come as no surprise given the artist’s background, which involves ambitious projects ranging from industrial to post-rock. Diversant: 13, Cold in May, Martian Love, Seanine, and Tribal A.D. are some of the many names that fill Ars’ creative resume, and each of those has given the creator the experience and tools needed to make an impact with his retro-futuristic synthwave project.
PRIZMis a Dallas-based synthwave duo comprised of Krisluv and Danni James. The two full-time artists have experience working together in a variety of genres; their latest project is a love letter to the sunny synth sounds of the ‘80s. Combining classic songwriting touches with modern production and contemporary pop styles, the act creates a refreshing take on the retro ‘80s revival that captures the best of both eras.
The pair released their debut EP in 2019 followed shortly by a single for “Neon Road.” The songs immediately caught the attention of the synthwave world and their top-notch production, songwriting, and vocal performances put them on the map of the biggest names and promoters in the genre.
