Formed in 1998 by multi-instrumentalist Antti-Pekka Meronen, Relicon began as a solo project where he wrote and performed all the music. The project evolved into a full-fledged five-piece band in 2005. After releasing a series of demos, the band went on hiatus in 2008. Meronen continued to create and release music online as a solo artist. In 2024, Relicon re-emerged with a vengeance, signing with WormHoleDeath label and unleashing their impactful EP "Consequences of Disbelief."
