Eyesore & The Jinx's debut album 'Jiiterbug', featuring singles 'No More Nails', 'Nocturnal Athletes (Ode to Bruno) and most recent 'Float Like a Jellyfish (Sting Like a Subtweet)'.

The Liverpool band recorded their debut in the Summer of 2022 at Yellowbird Studio in The Wirral. Produced by Daniel Fox (Gilla Band), this album is a collection of songs with very relatable themes, but presented with a personality that only Eyesore possess. Josh Miller (vocals, bass, lyrics) tells us:

Our debut album 'Jitterbug' has finally arrived today. I hope you get some enjoyment out of listening to it. We got a lot of enjoyment out of making it, and it became something of a distraction from the endless churn of disaster that seemed to follow us round between 2020 and 2023.

We set out to make the album way back in January 2020, ambitiously thinking we could get it out the following year. As well all know, 2020 unfortunately had other ideas and by the time we regrouped later that year it's no exaggeration to say that everything had changed - including ourselves. So we once again set about to make our album in earnest.

In February 2021, my mum passed away after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease. In the months after her death, I had my own health problems after years of not looking after myself and I became convinced my days were numbered as well.

Thankfully, that wasn't the case. But I did have to start my life over, motherless and without booze for the first time in my adult life.

The majority of songs that make up 'Jitterbug' are largely from this period, where I had to, for want of a better term 'rebuild'. It felt ridiculous and I'd like to think we've captured how ridiculous this felt in these songs.

'Jitterbug' then is an album about transition and how terrifying it can be. As proud as we are of these songs, I'm glad to see the back of this period of time (as you can imagine) but glad that we've documented it in these songs.

Recently signed to Marshall Live Agency, Eyesore & The Jinx will soon be announcing their first run of live dates
