Exciting Brand New Band Made of Seasoned Musicians and Professionals - The Far Field

VECTOR

Out on 25th October 2024

THE FAR FIELD are a brand new Kent based band made up of musicians and producers from other outfits who have collectively come together with a joint vision for producing jangly, cinematic indie - pop/rock music.

In their own words they state “We sound like Band of Horses on a date with Built to Spill, watching a movie about The Shins.”

The band is made up of Nicola Tee on Vocals  and Keys, Dan Lucas on Lead Guitar, Katie King  on Bass Guitar, Adam McVey on Rhythm Guitar and Cameron Sheppard on Drums.

Having honed and perfected their sound, THE FAR FIELD are now gearing up for the release of their debut album, the first single from which ‘Vector’ is being released on Friday 25th October 2024.

‘Vector’ is a layered tapestry of melodies and harmonies, a sonic soundscape of genre defying elements with sweet, delicate lyricism mixed with thrashing guitars and pounding drums. Then in the mid-section the tempo slows down with an almost orchestral brass interlude, before things build to a crescendo once more. The track ebbs and flows on a tidal wave of emotions. It's clear to hear from this track that this band is made up of a creative collective of seasoned musicians and music professionals alike.

THE FAR FIELD have said of the track:-

"Taking inspiration from the Deep Elm/Jade Tree bands of the late 90's and early 00's, ‘Vector’ is an eclectic blend of beautiful delicacy, massive pop hooks and post-punk energy. A dynamic and gripping track that takes the listener on an emotional rollercoaster".

‘Vector’ was written by the collective that is THE FAR FIELD as it was Recorded, Mixed and Produced by Dan Lucas at his own studio The Joplin House in Kent. .
