Essex Trio Midnight Repost Return With Riff-Heavy Single 'Stay'

Powerful, passionate, and packed with a punch, introducing brand- new single ‘Stay’ from Essex based trio Midnight Repost. Combining driving guitar rhythms with lead singer Liam Priestnall’s compelling vocals, ‘Stay’ is an authentic rock anthem reminiscent of 00s legends from Foo Fighters to Foals.

Irresistibly indie, ‘Stay’ is brimming with nostalgic college rock tones and sprinkled with classic rock riffs. Taking inspiration from witnessing a string of toxic relationships, ‘Stay’ discusses the idea of someone trying to keep a grip on a relationship whilst being completely ignorant to their own negative traits, unaware that they are the problem.

Blossoming into a trio in late 2022, Midnight Repost was originally frontman Liam’s solo project. Starting out as a film composer, Liam’s cinematic influences played a major role in refining the bands’ indie-pop and invigorating nu-funk sound. Aiming to capture a more authentic and raw sound as opposed to their prior clean pop production, the band headed out to a secluded state of the art studio in Norway to record ‘Stay’.

With Liam previously being the only performer on the collectives’ releases, Midnight Repost made a conscious decision to remain faithful to his original demo. Capturing the infectious energy and power of the initial recording, ‘Stay’ effortlessly blends each member’s signature sound, creating a melting pot of modern and nostalgic indie-rock. Following a successful UK tour at the end of 2023, Midnight Repost are preparing to unleash a fresh set of music over the coming months.

Unveiling their full band set up, ‘Stay’ marks the beginning of a new era for the band. With plenty more music and live shows to come, ‘Stay’ is a spicy taste of some serious heat yet to come.

New single ‘Stay’ will be officially released April 5th across all digital platforms and is the first instalment taken form their forthcoming summer EP.

Midnight Repost are:

Liam Priestnall - Guitar, Keys & Vocals

Darius Smith - Bass Guitar & Backing Vocals

Fredrick Lindal - Drums
