As the band remain consistent down the path of their unique melodic and old school metalcore sound, the theme remains groundbreaking and tonally revolutionary sharing similarities with artists such as In Flames, Bullet For My Valentine, Killswitch Engage and Parkway Drive. ‘The Wretched One’ is the catalyst of an unconventional sounding ENGRAVED, and a release prior to the production of more tracks intending to revive the true metalcore genre.

We Are ENGRAVED 

Rising from the underground of East Coast Australia in 2020, ENGRAVED are a vibrant metalcore outfit destined to convey strong artistic visions and strive to illuminate creative and innovative music from the depths of the metal industry. 

Drawing inspiration from a culmination of the industries’ top tier artists, such as Trivium, Parkway Drive, Killswitch Engage and Bullet For My Valentine, ENGRAVED depend on their instrumental technicality, powerful definition of their lyrics, melodic structures and energetic live performances to develop an exclusive theme to remain groundbreaking and tonally revolutionary. 

The band is made up of talented musicians in their own right - Adam Wex (vocals), Daniel Varvarian (guitar), Cory (guitar + backing vocals), Drew Alexander (drums) and Phil Capewell (bass). 

Adjacent to the heavy guitar riffs and erupting drum beats, the tracks connotate to life's significance and personal experiences connecting the band with the audience both emotionally and physically.

Cementing their foothold on the Australian metal circuit as a band on the come up, ENGRAVED have received support from audiences and industry alike following the release of their debut EP Unleashed in 2022. Gaining over 50k collective streams and featuring on the cover of leading online metal site, HEAVY Magazine, receiving a review from the Magazine’s head himself, Kris Peters, “Containing five tracks of unrelenting fury that harness the sound of a young band hungry for success, Unleashed is a heavy slab of brutality layered by contrasting melodic vocals that showcases the talent and diversity within this emerging five piece.” Following the release, performing at HEAVY magazine’s 10th anniversary shows in Melbourne and Sydney. Turning local shows into interstate performances, 2022 saw their first tour with Diskust and Awake In Time, traveling to the nations high end underground venues including The Bendigo Hotel (VIC) and Enigma Bar (SA) as well as a headline performance at the iconic Frankie’s Pizza By The Slice.
