Debut album ‘This Could Be Texas’ winner of the 2024 Mercury Prize

English Teacher share a special live performance video as part of the Pinterest Predicts 2025 series which sees the Mercury Prize winning Leeds band perform their song “Not Everybody Gets To Go To Space”.

The Simon Lane directed video is inspired by the Fisherman Aesthetic which Pinterest predicts will be one of the style trends for 2025. The group were assigned creative control to bring their interpretation of the aesthetic to life in a video set against the vast backdrop of The Historic Dockyard, Chatham & Dungeness Beach.

On the video, director Simon Lane says:

“The aim was to create a fisherman aesthetic for Pinterest, letting that guide every creative decision from the epic dockyard location, through styling you can see Lily’s lobster knitwear and art direction with lobster pots, buoys and fishing nets, we had a lot of fun making it!”

On Fisherman Aesthetic Pinterest outline: Gen Z and Gen X are riding the wave of a new laid-back maritime attitude with cable-knit sweaters, striped tops, and sardine tattoos. Yes, it’s true: Searches are soaring for sardine tattoos. Everything’s fishy here.
