Emergency Rule announce East Coast Australian Tour
Aussie rockers Emergency Rule are set to launch an East Coast run of shows in support of their debut album, 'The King of Ithaca'. After recording sessions took place in between lockdowns, the album has finally emerged and the guys will be taking the riffs to Gold Coast, Sydney, Canberra & Melbourne, with a couple of hometown Adelaide shows thrown in the mix.
The Gold Coast show will be at Sonic Gravy Festival which has returned for a second year and features Brant Bjork (ex Kyuss) and his Trio as headliner.
The King of Ithaca released in early February, has been lapped up by the music media.
“The album hits hard from the opening track and doesn’t let up. You’ll get taken into a world influenced by Sabbath, Floyd, and Maiden as much as blues or Bach. It’s that last shot of whisky, it’s that middle finger to your boss, it’s that last conversation you say to your girl as you leave her in the rearview mirror. It’s Emergency Rule.” – Hifi Way
“As soon as Emergency Rule hit the stage Bass guitarist Doug Clark’s fat bass sound and growling vocals immediately grabbed you by the throat as the band tore through their set of Sabbath inspired heavy riffery complimented by twin Lizzy style lead/harmonies on guitar compliments of Chris George and Cal Wegener. Add Ex Superjesus drummer Trav Dragani’s massive drum sound, as he destroys yet another set of skins and cymbals, and it’s the perfect storm.” - THE ROCKPIT
The Emergency Rule juggernaut steam rolling in for a night filled with monster riffs that will have you craving an encore!

It’s Sabbath with attitude, Down with a swagger, Skynyrd with power. The band’s laid-back vibe is a smokescreen to the musicians’ earth-shaking riffs.
Bringing heavy grooves, V8 style booming bass lines, and pounding room-quaking drums, Emergency Rule is a foot-stomping, head-banging rock ‘n’ roll sensation.
They’re a band of gifted musicians with a diverse history featuring Doug Clark (Universum) on bass/vocals, former 63 Stone guitarists Chris George and Cal Wegener, with Travis Dragani (Bruce Kulick, Mike Tramp) on drums.
They have supported acts as prestigious as Corrosion of Conformity, Suicidal Tendencies, Buckcherry, Sasquatch, Dozer, and Hardcore Superstar, and after a few years of teasing us with singles they are about to drop their thumping debut album ‘The King of Ithaca’.
Whether it’s the deal with the devil ‘Snake Eyes’ or the bar room barfly ‘Bartender’, Emergency Rule is a good time, no-nonsense-boogie-grooving infectious vibe. Pull up a chair, get a drink, and roll that dice.
