Dublin’s Hook share single ‘The Drugs Are Working’

Biography

Hook is Eoin O’Donnell - vocals, guitars. Niamh Carmody - vocals, bass. Morgan O’Brien - drums

Based in Dublin, Ireland they have been described as new wave indie rock, lovely comparisons have been made with Pixies, The Smiths, Big Thief and the Velvet Underground.

They play direct, honest music about the small moments, the brutality of love and finding the beautiful in the simple.

On 8th March they released their new double A-side "The Drugs Are Working".

Two versions of the same song.

One more immediate, electric version, the other in a more measured, acoustic style.

The message in both is the same - searching for and finding whatever it is that can make the world a brighter place for you.

It’s not actually about drugs!

Both songs are accompanied by a "B-side" - the bruising "Walk On Me"
