Divisions share single ‘Year Zero’ - Out Now!

About the release:

OUT NOW on all major streaming platforms and to buy on bandcamp.

Year Zero sees Divisions doing what they do best. A truly dystopian anthem with mournful piano, haunting vocals, atmospheric guitars and lush vocal harmonies, all leading to a dramatic climax.

Lyrically, the song evokes bleak images of burning cathedrals, news-media blackouts, economic collapse and mass exodus whilst recognising the general apathy that accompanies the slow drift toward societal meltdown.

Divisions started writing songs together at a young age, based on a shared love of acts such as Radiohead and Pink Floyd. Their sound weaves introspective lyrics and rock ethic with electronic layers and detailed vocal arrangements. Previously playlisted on Amazing Radio and featured in the station’s top 40 chart, they have played various London shows and have been a finalist in the UKSC songwriting competition.
