Denmark’s AiramFM shares new single ‘Serenity’ - Out Now!
Maria Friis Møller is a 24-year-old singer from Denmark who goes by the stage name AiramFM.
Maria writes and composes her own songs recording them in a the small living room in her apartment, her music is self produced and she even creates single covers herself. Her dream to be able to make her passion for music into a full time career.
Her style is generally more indie/alternative, although on the pop-ish side. Her songs melancholic, authentic and reflect the things she’s been through. She has been compared to singers such as Lana Del Rey, Birdy and Aurora.
Maria started releasing music in September 2022 after she lost her mother in April 2022 to cancer as a way to channel her grief and let her pain out. Her music has helped her to heal. She explains “My mother also always encouraged me to sing, as she herself had great musicality and had a beautiful voice. I also have a hope that my music can help others who are going through the same thing, so they don't feel alone in their pain.”
First single "Angel" is a direct tribute to her mother, Maria continues “as she really was an angel both on earth and now in heaven. In addition, my 6th single "The River" is also about her and how everything I do is for her and that I hope she can hear me singing these songs to her.”
So far Maria has released a total of 8 singles, with her latest being ‘Serenity’ which was released on May 26th. It's a little different from the others, more upbeat and dance friendly. It's about feeling a little different, but then meeting someone who’s also a little different and whose "chaos" matches your own.
