Dayside & Guffchild Release Heartwarming New Single ‘Mommy’s Boy’

“Mommy’s Boy”, the latest single from Montreal-based artists Dayside & Guffchild, is in many ways a direct follow-up to “Daddy’s Girl”, their previous single. However, what started as a character-driven song turned into something personal. Both Pope Silk (featured on the track) and Dayside were raised by single mothers and decided to dedicate this song to them. Every lyric reflects real memories from their childhood related to the quiet sacrifices their moms had to make to raise them. 

In the outro, you hear one of the last recordings of Dayside’s mom before she passed away in 2022. As per Dayside’s own words : “It’s one of the only things I have left of her voice. Now, that recording will live on forever through this song.”.
