ALT-POP SINGER DANNY SILVERTONE CAPTIVATES WITH SINGLE “NEW TO YOU”

Alt-pop artist Danny Silvertone has released his intoxicating single “New To You.”

Silvertone weaves a tale of an irresistible affair full of temptation. Much like the thorns on a rose, the track’s romance isn’t without its pitfalls. “We’re the right type of toxic / Baby nothing can stop it,” Silvertone sings over a pillowy synth and trap drums.

Silvertone’s songwriting draws on late nights and long drives soaked in desire and intrigue. On “New To You,” he invokes a grungy swagger inspired by The Weeknd’s early material. A metallic, muted guitar riff drives the song forward as his auto-tuned lilt requests, “Kill the lights and set yourself free.” Airy harmonies create a choir around Silvertone’s lead vocals, lifting the track to a dreamy space.

Silvertone spoke about the emotions the track explores: “This song is about someone really special to me. It details the intense feeling you get when you’re attracted to someone, can’t control it, and realize they might be used to it.”

“New To You,” out August 30th, follows Silvertone’s previous singles, “Alone” and “Insomnia,” building on the R&B, alt-rock & dark pop flavors established in his sound.
