Harnessing emotive drive, contagious choruses and boundless energy, CULT REVIVAL’s reach has vast potential, as they skillfully pull influence from a variety of areas. Formed in Kent, England, and comprising of Chris Horton (vocals), Craig Matthews (guitar and vocals), and Ben Goodey (guitar and vocals), CULT REVIVAL were created in 2020, and the trio soon made their mark. The industrious crew got to work by enlisting Grammy-nominated producer Romesh Dodangoda (Bring Me The Horizon, Funeral For A Friend, Holding Absence) to lay down their first two singles in 2021. The following year, CULT REVIVAL collaborated with Matt O’Grady (You Me At Six, Deaf Havana, Architects, Don Broco) to record and mix the follow up to their singles ‘You’ and ‘Me’. With growing momentum, CULT REVIVAL were asked to play their friends’ (DRONES) final gig, and the show was a superb success. Festival appearances, memorable live performances and media acclaim soon followed, and have all helped to firmly instill CULT REVIVAL as one of the bands to break in 2023.
The three-piece have now completed work on their electrifying new single and video, Warhead. The track was again produced by Matt O’Grady, and vocalist Chris Horton remarks about the single: “Warhead is a song is about the battle so many of us have with our minds; that place where hope and love can lose a daily battle to anxiety and fear, a fight brought on by the stress of modern-day life. Sometimes the only escape is to think back to a better time, a happier time, and try to somehow remember what that felt like.”
With a thunderous single now released, further singles on the way, and a host of live shows set to be confirmed, CULT REVIVAL are a band that are primed for a national audience; latch onto them now before they take flight.
