Creeper's Hannah Greenwood Joins Black Water County For Their Epic New Single Second Guessing

Mixing folk and punk is a unique skill that only a select few bands can do well. South West UK natives BLACK WATER COUNTY are definitely one of those bands. With the band building up to their third album The Only Life Worth Living, Black Water County have a brand new single to showcase their talents that features a VERY special guest.

SECOND GUESSING sees Black Water County take it down a peg or two from some of their previous material, with a haunting duet between BWC's own vocalist Shan and none other than Creeper's Hannah Greenwood! Shan and Hannah's voices complement each other perfectly, while the instrumentation builds throughout the track. The end result is something very special that fans old and new will want to re-live over and over again.

As for how this wonderful combination came to life, we'll let Hannah tell the story herself:

"The song with Black Water County came about very organically when Shan reached out to me a few months ago wondering if I would be keen to feature on one of their new upcoming singles. I loved the song the first time I heard it being a sucker for a ballad. It was fun getting involved and embellishing the harmonies and the outro and also being a part of the video. Having worked with Zak Pinchin before I knew the video would be great too!"

As mentioned, Hannah features in the video for Second Guessing alongside Shan and the rest of Black Water County. The other stars of the video are Shan's grandparents, who do a wonderful job of showcasing their relationship through the decades.

About Black Water County

Hailing from South West UK, and celebrating a decade making music together, award-winning folk punk outfit Black Water County have deviated over time, from the well-trodden path of teenage insolence (plus a lot of booze) to a vigilant state of introversion; hoping to gleam affinity through stories of the downtrodden and heartbroken. With a necessary touch of spirit and spirits.

In both 2016 and 2018, Black Water County won their place on Fireball’s ‘Fuelling the Fire Tour’ supporting Less Than Jake, Flogging Molly, The Bronx, The Skints and more. With extensive and relentless touring, Black Water County have seen numerous sold out headline shows and tours, To date the bands’ UK festival appearances have included WOMAD, Boomtown Fair, Beautiful Days, Belladrum, Black Deer, Tunes in the Dunes, Camp Bestival, Larmer Tree, Teddy Rocks and Takedown Festival, along with hundreds of other festival appearances across the UK, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, The Netherlands and France.

Their debut album 'Taking Chances' was released in 2017, with the sophomore album 'Comedies and Tragedies' in 2020 being rudely interrupted by a global pandemic. Picking up when life live shows returned, the band toured the UK twice in 2022, finally able to bring the 2nd album to sold out venues across the UK.

Ready to take on the next decade together, Black Water County are evolving throughout 2023, with refined musical direction and purpose. The journey is only just starting and everyone is invited to raise a glass and join the party.
