Crash & The Crapenters Gets 'All Geared Up' In New Single

‘All Geared Up’ isn’t just Crash and the Crapenters' latest rock single, it’s a story in four acts you can tap your foot to, crashing onto the scene on Friday, November 15.

Giving the masses yet another taste of their upcoming EP 'Species Du Faeces', out early 2025, Crash and the Crapenters are adding yet another punk rock gem to the pool room. Their last single 'Depression (Smells Like Middle Aged Spirit)’ was praised by likes of Scenestr, Heavy Mag, and Backseat Mafia for its raw, grown-up, psychedelic take on rock, and that’s only the latest in their line of iconic moves since they formed in 2016.

Their latest single ‘All Geared Up’ is a bender in four acts, exploring the rise and the fall and scrutinizing Australia’s drug culture through the lense of energetic vocals and guitar riffs.

The song starts in high energy, eager for revelry and vices. A killer guitar solo separates verses, breaking up the space between stages of inebriation as we witness his downward spiral. It finally becomes most obvious when towards the end of the song, the track begins to melt and warp, becoming slow and serious and groggy as he finally crashes.

Frontman Chris Carpenter drew on his own personal experiences to document his experiences with drug abuse and the cycle it drew him into, from feeling like he could take on the world to the depths of a hangover and withdrawals. It’s a gritty look at Australia’s drug culture with blatant lyrics with a tune that’ll make sure they catch. Chris states that, “‘All Geared Up’ is an indictment on the “nose beer” culture that exists in Australia.”

Heed the warning of ‘All Geared Up’ by Crash and the Crapenters, releasing on Friday, November 15.
