The track is explosive from the start with a brutal vocal performance that never lets up bombarding listeners with a barrage of fast-paced metal riffs integrated with the driving pulse of a Techno rave. Combining elements of Rock and Metal, with a touch of Metalcore, Nu-Metal, and Alternative Metal, this track doesn't just cross the boundaries of musical genres, it obliterates them, leaving sonic havoc in its wake. With a blend of synth, drums, guitar, and bass, the track takes listeners on a high-octane ride through an unforgiving searing soundscape. This particular song was conceived during a self-destructive period in guitarist Jed Stark's life.
"This song represents my journey through a self-destructive phase that occurred late last year,"Starkexplains. "Even though I was fully aware of the negative impact my behavior had on myself and those around me, I had reached such a low point in my mental state that I came to accept it. I stopped taking my medication for my ADHD and Bipolar II conditions and felt utterly hopeless. I simply craved substances, risky behavior—anything to 'obliterate me,' and it felt like I was on the brink of welcoming death at any moment."
"I managed to pull myself out of that abyss earlier this year, but this song serves as a stark reminder of the tumultuous period when I wasn't sure if I'd make it out. The song's chaos vividly illustrates how challenging that time was for me, and Tyler accurately captured it in the lyrics. My hope is that those grappling with self-destructive tendencies, particularly related to substance abuse, can find solace in this song as an emotional outlet. You are not alone; your struggles matter, and you deserve to receive help."
