“…he’s gone up a level with this mix of pop rock, country and punk."
Daily Star

“...it grabs you by the heartstrings and leaves you wanting more. Best of all it sounds like he really loves doing this. Hard to fake, and hard to resist."
Louder

“Not only is Lost at Sea filled with masterful guitar work, but the songcraft itself is very impressive. Shiflett’s just as effective sharing narratives and noticings, and combined with the album’s musical breadth, Lost at Sea pleasantly surprises at each turn.”
No Depression

"…quite excellent ...energetic indie Americana”
Powerplay

“‘Lost At Sea,’ is a wildly absorbing, energetic rocking country album giving us a kaleidoscope of music; on every listen you’ll hear something new, whether it’s a well-placed harmony, a get-lost-into guitar riff or drift-away keys.”
Entertainment Focus

Foo Fighters guitarist Chris Shiflett has announced Willy Cobb as support on his forthcoming headline tour in March, which concludes with a show at London’s Electric Ballroom on the 27th. Tickets are available here.

Cobb says, "I remember being on the flight the first time I went across the pond, listening to one of Chris' albums. It's a full-circle moment for us to tour the UK together! I can't wait to get over in March."

‘Wild’ Willy Cobb’s credentials are strong being the cousin of Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and musician Brent Cobb, who along with Jaren Johnston (frontman of The Cadillac Three and songwriter behind a dozen No.1 country hits) are producing Willy’s forthcoming music.

In Cobbs own words, “If you don’t know me, I’m a southern guy making alternative rock music. I’m originally from Georgia but now live in Nashville, Tennessee, where I’ve been making music and playing shows for a while. I’m influenced by 90’s grunge, but I like to add a southern twist. I love loud guitars, tattoos, eyeliner, and bands like Nirvana and Tame Impala.”

The upcoming tour follows the release of Shiflett’s stellar third album Lost At Sea, which is out now on Snakefarm in the UK and features the latest single ‘Weigh You Down’. Originally inspired by Shiflett’s wife’s birthday, the song turned into a baritone guitar-driven rocker; upbeat and sweet.

Shiflett says, “I can’t wait to get back over to the UK and Ireland for another run of dates!  The tour we did last spring was amazing, the best we’ve ever done. The crowds were wild so I can’t wait to see what it’ll be like touring now that the record is out. We’ll definitely mix in a few more new tunes in addition to the older stuff.”

Revered as a modern-day guitar hero, the new album sees Shiflett splice up alt-country rock and guitar-driven grit with sharp songwriting and Americana undertones.

Shiflett also recently launched a new video series called ‘Shred with Shifty’ where he interviews some of the guitar greats, delving into their most iconic solos and the art of playing guitar. Guests so far have included the likes of Nile RogersAlex Lifeson (Rush), Rivers Cuomo (Weezer), Brad Paisley and more. Head to Volume.com/shifty for more info.

Although he’s used to playing big arenas globally, the punk veteran and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee’s previous UK tour was hugely triumphant; his transition to more intimate venues was seamless, resulting in equal magic, showing that being a great frontman is just another part of his already impressive CV.
