Centerfold Share their new single “Trust Issues”

August 30th 2024 (Liverpool, UK) ---- Today, Centerfold unveil their new single “Trust Issues” ---- listen HERE. The track previews their eagerly anticipated debut EP “Centerfold”, of which “Trust Issues” is the third single. 

“Trust Issues” shows Centerfold taking a detour from their previous two singles, exploring less of the ambient soundscapes and sonic textures used in “Last Dance” and “Drowning”. Instead, their latest single is a driving, heavy-alternative anthem. Combining soaring guitar riffs with a thunderous rhythm section, “Trust Issues” takes the Listener on a high-energy journey through lyrical themes of heartbreak and abandonment. The intense and emotional vocals of Josh Stevenson sit atop the melodic guitar lines of Ciaran Gaffney, the driving basslines of Tom Proudlock, and the thunderous drums of Jamie Munns. 

The band have said “We think this single does a great job of showing that, although we like to explore experimental elements in our music, whether that be soundscapes, structures, or musical ideas, we love writing a catchy tune. We love the kind of songs that get stuck in people’s heads for days to the point of annoyance, and we wanted to have a play with that idea of writing; with every element being a hook, not just the vocal or the chorus.”

Centerfold are a 4-piece heavy alternative band from Liverpool taking inspiration from the likes of Rage Against The Machine, Radiohead and Royal Blood. They have gathered a strong and dedicated following with their live shows across the UK and through their humorous videos of their music on social media, having gone viral several times with video views upwards of hundreds of thousands. Having enjoyed extensive radio play across the world including ‘New Artist Of The Week’ and a primetime play on Planet Rock, the band aim to combine the old and the new, taking inspiration from their favourite artists to create a three-dimensional and unique take on the genre.
