Canadian-born, Portugal-based singer/songwriter Camille Miller releases her latest album “Shadows & Lines”

Shadows & Lines takes you on a journey through aspects of life most of us will face; tracks such as Summer Dress and Smoking Cigarettes have been inspired by Camille’s very personal experiences with loss, while Devolutionary Change is her tongue in cheek attempt at political commentary. Reflecting Camille’s personality and musical tastes, Shadows & Lines is a diverse and quirky collection of tracks which pull influences from the worlds of rock, blues, pop, and jazz.

About Shadows & Lines

Shadows & Lines is a mix of new tracks and older songs that Camille had kept on the back-burner until the time was right for her to finish them. The demos for the album were recorded at Camille’s home in Lisbon, before she enlisted the help of producer Chris Aiken. Like Camille, Chris is originally from Vancouver Island and is a drummer as well as a producer and played drums at her gigs in Poland, where he has lived for the past 18 years. Chris brought in Tomek Pfeiffer and Szymon Orlowski to play on the album with Oksana Predko providing the backing vocals. The overall sound of the album was completed by Vancouver-based artist/producer Mary Ancheta who added synths, piano, organ and a whole lot of love.

Camille met her husband at one of the shows with Chris in Poland, and his unwavering enthusiasm and support has carried Camille through the writing and recording process.

About Camille Miller

Camille Miller has been writing and recording since releasing her first album on cassette tape in 1994. Influenced by the raw authenticity of artists like Sheryl Crow, Bonnie Raitt, and Leonard Cohen, with the grittier rock sounds of Led Zep and Queen, her songwriting balances introspection with storytelling. This storytelling has been enriched by a lifetime of diverse experiences; born on a Canadian Military base in Germany and living the nomadic life of a military child which continues into adulthood. Camille’s back catalogue is a beautifully crafted blend of folk, rock, and pop that feels both timeless and current.

She has worked with the likes of Nicholas Haggar, with whom she wrote and recorded her first three albums, Doug Elliot (Odds), Pat Steward (Bryan Adams), and has contributed as a writer and vocalist to a host of major label albums in both North America and Europe.
