In this new interview, we talk with the band about their music inspirations, curiosities and future plans. Check it out bellow:

Can you tell us more about the band...when the duo started? We started playing together most consistently in 2022. It happened almost naturally. I came up with songs. We started jamming them together and it was just simple and fun. Plus, we thought we had an interesting sound together. So we continued.

What can you say about this new Single?

Broken Mirror is on the smoother side of what we do. Broken mIrror is a kind of song I always wish I could do because, in my opinion, we managed to create an emotionally intense and visceral song. It’s been a fun process from the first ideas to the release and I’m proud of the result.

How was the recording process?

We first recorded some home demos to analyze what we liked or didn't like about the basis of the song we had and continued working on a lot of small details for a while. When we were sure that we had a good song on our hands, we went into the studio and did our best to capture the essence of the song the way we imagined it. Thanks to Guillaume Tanguay who did an awesome job as an audio engineer and drummer on this tune.

Which inspirations have been important for the band?

Musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank specially? Rebecca, my bandmate, is one of my inspirations because she’s a go-getter. For her, things don't have to be perfect but she must be doing things and having fun in the process. It became our modus operandi. Let’s do it and keep it fun. Another inspiration for me is Simon Champagne. He is a long time friend with whom we used to be in the band Ructions. We have played in this band together for a long time and I’m still inspired by his work ethic and his musical sense today because is the co-producer on the songs we are currently recording. You also can hear his work on our song  Loud and Clear on which he plays drums, some additional guitar and nonetheless he did the sound engineering job.

Who were your musical influences, idols, or bands growing up that have helped mold you into the artist you are today?

Or helped mold the music that you create? One of my all time favorite bands is Thrice because I grew up listening to them and I just love everything they do. They are the kind of band who never stop evolving and never stop coming up with good  and original tunes and they never try to do the same album over and over again. They are an influence for me because it’s something I try to do, always coming up with new ideas and looking forward to the next inspiration. There are also bands that I like and have listened to regularly for a long time, like Alexisonfire, Cancer Bats, Mastodon, At the Drive, The Mars Volta, Hail The Sun, Karnivool, Strung Out, A Wilhelm Scream, Ignite, Downstater, Sudden Wave, Belvedere…

What else are you working on?

What can we expect to see and hear from you in the future?  We are actually finishing a bunch of 4 songs that will be ready for release next fall and winter. Also, we already started the recording of a 5 songs EP for 2025. We are also planning an acoustic live session. Most of the shows we do, for the moment, are acoustic so I think it’s going to be very interesting to capture a piece of this kind of performance.
