London-based singer-songwriter buster and the pigeons today releases his new single ‘the last song i’ll write about the sun’

London-based singer-songwriter buster and the pigeons today shares news of his new single ‘the last song I’ll write about the sun’, out via self-release on 19th September.

On the track buster says: “The song is a reflection of a push and pull relationship where one partner wanted to express love as grandiose as they felt it while the other didn’t feel it was worth choosing. The heartbreaking notion that you can do anything for your partner but if they are not willing to accept or believe the love you want to shower them in, you’re forever going to be fighting a losing battle. The song is a reluctant acceptance of the breakup despite how strong the connection was. Even if it was lopsided.”

Buster took the cover art himself, like all of his artworks. It’s a set he built for 'the Sun' at the blossom of their relationship. The song lyrically is likened to, and almost plays homage to Adrianne Lenker and Blaze Foley.

Buster and the Pigeons makes music for the anti-paying for blue tickers, anti-synthetic, pro-sympathetic, have asked themselves big fuck off scary questions and not been happy with their own answers. For fans of The Streets, Blaze Foley, Zach Bryan, Jack Johnson, Lou Reed, Idles, Kae Tempest and Leonard Cohen.
