Briscoe share new track ahead of debut album 'West of It All' release on Friday
Today, rising Americana-roots-rock band Briscoe releases their third single 'Coyotes', a harmony-filled tribute to West Texas, from their debut album 'West of It All' out on 15th September via ATO Records. 'Coyotes' follows the band’s last track 'Sparrows' and first single 'The Well.

Briscoe is Truett Heintzelman and Philip Lupton, and they began their rise as students at the University of Texas/Austin, playing house shows and backyard parties as a two-piece act, before selling out venue after venue after expanding their lineup into a full band. Briscoe began growing their base organically by constantly touring and engaging with fans, which led to opening stints with Noah Kahan and Ruston Kelly and dates with Zach Bryan and Caamp.
The band just wrapped a festival-filled summer, performing alongside some of music’s biggest names at Bonnaroo, Winnetka Music Festival, FairWell Festival, Catbird Music Festival, Iron Blossom Music Festival and more. An early career highlight took place when Briscoe opened for The Dave Matthews Band over the Labor Day weekend.
Briscoe recorded the album with producer Brad Cook in North Carolina, adding drummer Matt McCaughan (Bon Iver) and multi-instrumentalist Phil Cook (Megafaun, Hiss Golden Messenger). Brad Cook plays bass on the sessions as well. It's a broad, bold mix, captured by two young musicians who've distilled the rush of early adulthood into 10 sharply written songs. Still in their infancy as a band, Briscoe sound fully grown on 'West of It All', a self-assured album that follows no directions but its very own.
