Album Launch Show 16th November @ Green Door Store, Brighton
Brighton-based multi-disciplinary music company Small Pond are delighted to reveal the latest track to be taken from their forthcoming Small Pond Presents: Emerging Vol. 4 compilation album, set for release on 15th November 2024 on a limited vinyl pressing and all good digital service providers.
The latest offering comes from Brighton noise punk newcomers Epsom Salts, with their single ‘Burning Memory’ set for release on 11th October 2024.
Through their disjointed noise and playful experimentalism, Epsom Salts have crafted a beguiling fusion of noise rock, punk, and hardcore, trashing genre boundaries and honing in on a sound that is uniquely theirs. Since 2021, the quartet have blasted their noisy chaos around the Brighton venue circuit, and continue to push for ways to diversify and enhance their music with technicality and attitude.
In their short lifespan, Epsom Salts have shared stages with ‘ones to watch’ including Soul Glo, Don't Try, Meth and The Oozes, plus local legends Jar of Blind Flies, Electric Cowboy Club and How Long You Been Driving. With the remainder of 2024 jam-packed with live shows, the outfit plan to leap around the UK and across to Mainland Europe for the first time, as they strive to make themselves an undeniable prospect.
The band will be appearing live supporting Norwich cult faves Other Half at the Hope and Ruin on 21st September, and will also appear at the Emerging Vol. 4 album launch party at Green Door Store, Brighton on 16th November alongside tracklist-stablemates could be ghosts, whose single ‘sutures’ was released last month.
Building on the success of previous projects, Small Pond’s ‘Emerging’ artist development project once again gives 16 talented young acts (aged 16-25) from Brighton and the South of England the opportunity to rehearse, record, and release their music via Small Pond’s professional studio, label and PR set-up.
Several of the acts featured on previous compilations are now hotly tipped for future success including CLT DRP, Lambrini Girls, El Moono, Bridie Florence, Currls, City Dog and more.

More about Small Pond and the Emerging project:
A young, multi-disciplinary music company run by a team of musicians, audio engineers, and industry professionals, Small Pond is centred around a thriving rehearsal and recording studio complex in the centre of Brighton.
Over the last few years the Small Pond imprint has boasted releases from more than fifteen acts in varying genres, gaining high profile support from a wide spread of media including The Guardian, BBC 6Music, BBC Radio 1 and beyond. The label’s roster, past and present, includes The Physics House Band, Natalie Evans, Inwards, Wild Cat Strike, Town Portal, Yama Warashi, Alarmist, Brian Campeau, Bonniesongs, InTechnicolour, and Luo.
The Emerging project, which has been awarded funding from Arts Council England, focuses on giving promising artists the opportunity to experience all stages in the production and promotion of a record. The process culminates in the pressing and distribution of a compilation album on 12-inch vinyl and digital platforms, and features a track from each of the acts selected.
Along with a marketing and PR campaign for the release, musicians will receive support and industry guidance in the form of workshops, pre-production meetings and mentoring throughout the process. Each act will also receive an allocation of the finished vinyl to sell as merchandise, getting them on the way to earning a tangible income from their music.
The Emerging project was launched in 2020 with the resulting 8 track compilation Small Pond Presents: Emerging featuring singles from MY-HI, CLT DRP, PLACID, El Moono, KING BEE, San Dingo, BADLAWS, and The Subtracks, with CLT DRP going on to sign a full album deal with Small Pond for the release of their debut full-length record Without The Eyes.
Volume 2 was released in 2021 and featured tracks from Lambrini Girls, Bridie Florence, Maya Caskie, Harper, every rose, Dirty, Big Bad, and Masquerader.
