Stream 'Move Away'

Finding peace in starting anew, Boorloo/Perth-based country artist Brandon Poletti releases a reassuring single ‘Move Away' (Out Friday, May 17).

Through his raw, yet comforting soundscapes, the singer-songwriter achieved some significant milestones throughout 2023. Most significantly, As Brandon Poletti & The Eagleton Brothers, he won best country group at the WA Music Awards. Brandon was also nominated for numerous other awards, including 5 nominations for WAM Song Of The Year, and 8 nominations for the WA Country Music Awards.

Now, with ‘Move Away’, Brandon Poletti seeks solace and brings a warm, familiar feeling to the daunting task of moving away. Painting the all-too-familiar picture of outgrowing your hometown and feeling that where you reside has nothing left for you.

Smooth and serene, the track is made up of warm keys and smooth-flowing guitar licks, all tied together by Brandon’s soulful country rasp, making the song not only an easy listen but creating an all-soothing atmosphere that Brandon has masterfully crafted alongside producer Josh Dyson. The accompaniment of the tremolo in the keys, along with the deeply felt vibrato in Brandon’s voice only adds effect to the tranquil nature of the track.

Carefully placed between the soft textures of his effortless country twang, Brandon Poletti’s storytelling and relatability are essential to his songwriting. In ‘Move Away’, Brandon shares that:

“Move Away reflects on the weight of the past and the fleeting nature of time. it's about a person who feels stuck in a town that no longer feels like home, they grapple with a sense of disillusionment and longing for change. The song captures the essence of their desire to break free from the confines of their current life, contemplating leaving town, pursuing a new job, and perhaps even adopting a new identity.”

Sharing his insight in the hopes of change, Brandon Poletti's Move Away' is out now.
