Indie-folk five-piece Bottlemoth are pleased to reveal their surprise double singles ‘You'll Always Have Us' // 'Everything Works Out In The End’, released today, August 1st 2024, taken from their upcoming debut album ‘Even Us Ghosts’ out October 17th 2024.

Bottlemoth formed in January 2024 by the former members of Bridges. The band cut their teeth touring the UK under their previous moniker, playing tour supports with Slow Readers Club and festivals such as 2000 Trees, Isle of Wight and Glastonbury. Since returning to live in 2024 as Bottlemoth, the band have already performed alongside The Dangerous Summer, Cold Years, Jim Lockey & The Solemn Sun and Adult Leisure. Previous releases have amassed over 130,000 streams and have been celebrated by the likes of Far Out Magazine, Clash and God Is In The TV.

Influenced by artists such as Manchester Orchestra, The Gaslight Anthem, The Wonder Years and Frightened Rabbit, their sound is honest and heartfelt, emotive and dynamic.

Their previous debut single 'Tattoo' saw Bottlemoth championed by the likes of Fame Magazine, RTE, The Most Radicalist and Spotify editorial's Hot New Bands and Apple's New In Rock.

'You'll Always Have Us // Everything Works Out In The End' were written and produced by the band themselves across home studios, drums were produced with Joe Marsh at Orchard Studios and the track was mixed by Adrian Hall (Tori Amos, Bess Atwell, Nova Twins, Cassia) who’s experience and expertise helped the band’s vision develop into a unique sound.

Discussing how the singles came about, vocalist and lyricist Ethan Proctor says, “These two songs were the first and last to finish whilst writing the record. They really sum up everything the album is trying to say. Be there for those you love the best you can, and try to worry less as everything works out in the end. The two songs match up really nicely now, so we were excited to share as a double single.

‘You’ll Always Have Us’ began hashed out on a cheap nylon guitar direct to voice notes. Arranging the unformed tunes and snippets, it came together in an afternoon. Chess and I were still living in London, just before we moved out when the world was shutdown. Living in London where everything is so fast, I don’t know if I checked in with my friends outside of the bubble as much as I wanted to. It’s a fairly cursed place to live for that I think, as much as it holds a fond place in my heart. It helped me think a lot on trying to be a better friend though, which is important. Still trying of course.

‘Everything Works Out In The End’ I finished writing the lyrics whilst in Glasgow for a show. The album was almost all recorded at the time, apart from the verses of this tune. The riff that began the song was long gone, which meant there was plenty of room to try things. I’ve been challenging myself to try to say more within fewer words in recent years. Everything Works Out In The End is a song I’m proud of for that. I can’t recall who said it first to me, perhaps my parents or grandma said a lot when I was growing up. It’s a sentiment that has stuck; our biggest problems now won’t matter in 6 months, and that is a calming ideal. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end yet."
