Boston's Speedfossil Release Valentine Video Featuring Chelsea Curve's Linda Pardee
“Sweetheart”, the second single and video from the band’s highly anticipated E.P., ROOM WITH A VU, Vol.1, (street date: 4.12.24). The single follows hot on the heels of “Magic Trick,” which spent nine weeks on the Radio Indie Alliance charts, peaking at #2 in November 2023, and it is the third single release on The Sound Cove digital single imprint, a digital singles label out of Boston founded by Speedfossil frontman Garrett Vandermolen in late 2023 after the tragic death of Red on Red label owner Justine Covault (Speedfossil was signed to Red on Red). The Sound Cove will release new singles in 2024 from FIreking (featuring Anthony Kaczynski of the Magnetic Fields, Figures on a Beach), Eric Barlow, Me In Capris, and the Plimsouls, among others.
Speedfossil band is firing on all rock & roll cylinders, with high energy bass, drums, guitars (and handclaps!). With production and engineering work from David Minehan (The Neighborhoods, The Replacements, Dink Pinkerman), the track was recorded at Woolly Mammoth Sound in Waltham, MA, and is a showcase example of Power Pop Rock and Roll.
