8th November, 2024 – Today, Melbourne three-piece Blusher share their latest single "Somebody New". It's the final release of the year from Jade, Lauren and Miranda who've been steadily sharing their heavy-hitting pop singles since January.

Kicking off the year with the experimental electronics of their Charli XCX-inspired track "Rave Angel," the trio have showcased the many sides of the Blusher-verse over the last 12 months. Complete with solo re-imaginings of singles from each band member, they've taken 2024 to define who they are both inside and outside of the band.

"Somebody New" is not just a song; it's an anthem for anyone ready to rewrite their story.

Speaking about this new track Blusher say:

“Somebody New is our fun, flirty mantra that mirrors the cycle of breaking up, rebounding, swearing off love, and knowing you’ll do it all over again. Mostly, it’s a love song to the friends who are by your side through the whole process.  Late nights out with your new crush, first kisses in the club followed by tears on the dancefloor - whatever stage of the cycle you’re in at the moment, we wrote this song to be the soundtrack.”

Having supported Tove Lo, Aurora and The Rions in Australia, and Dadi Freyr in the UK, Europe and North America, the band are playing their long-awaited debut headline shows in Australia this December.

This summer they played their very first headline show in London to a sold-out crowd this summer following an opening slot for Kylie Minogue at BST Hyde Park and performing in Leicester Square for London Pride.

About Blusher:
In Blusher’s metaphorical teen rom-com of a band, all three members are the leads. They share vocals on their songs and swap instruments during the live shows. They all produce and write together, utilising their individual experiences cutting their teeth as solo artists before forming the band. Unfiltered lyricism peppered over dreamy synths and thick baselines lands the Blusher sound somewhere between late-night solitude and a 2am dance floor. Since Blusher launched into action at BIGSOUND in 2022, the trio are on track to become a staple amongst the Australian pop landscape. The trio have garnered support from the likes of triple j, iHeartRadio Australia, People Magazine, Vogue Australia, RUSSH Magazine and DORK Magazine.
