Bloodstock Stage Headliners Waterlines Drop New Single Prey

Big news is afoot in the Waterlines camp! The Yorkshire metalcore upstarts have two big updates to share.

First up, their brand new single Prey! For their latest track, Waterlines have gone full on party metal(core), with a song that is absolutely guaranteed to be a live hit. Having already been selected by Metal Hammer as one of their tracks of the week straight upon release,  we suggest you don't waste another second, check out the video for Prey below:

Prey is also available to stream on Spotify now

For more about Prey, here's Waterlines frontman Ben Mars:

"We want to keep pushing the boundaries of our style, adding a little more rap here and a sprinkle more EDM there! We’re still heavy, but we never want to be pigeon holed, so we do what the fuck we want.

Lyrically this song is about reaching a breaking point and biting back. It’s being backed into a corner and finally snapping. It’s messy, visceral chaos."

Prey is the third single to be released by Waterlines since their rebranding from their former life as Sertraline back in November 2022. The previous two singles, KÖNIG and The Halo Around The Horns, have had widespread acclaim from Metal Hammer, Kerrang, Distorted Sound and many other outlets, as well as widespread rock radio airplay.

Waterlines' second announcement is another huge milestone for the band. They have been invited to headline the Jägermeister Stage at Bloodstock Open Air Festival 2023. Waterlines will headline the Jägermeister Stage on the Saturday of Bloodstock 2023, set time to be confirmed. For ticket information for Bloodstock Open Air Festival 2023, please visit the official festival website. Waterlines guitarist Mike Hawkings explains just how much they are looking forward to their upcoming Bloodstock slot:

"We are absolutely pumped to be headlining Saturday’s Jägermeister stage at Bloodstock ’23! We will be doing our level best to blow that tent out of the field. Opportunities like this don’t pop up every day, so we will be making each and every person in there feel as amazing as we do! JUMP THE F*%@ UP!"
